Local 1000 Nurses Asked to Track Mandated Furlough Days

Many 24/7 Facilities Telling Nurses They Cannot Use Furlough Days

The governor’s mandated furlough days continue to cause great anxiety and hardship to our state Registered Nurses. Each department, and at times each facility, have set up their own rules. In many of the 24/7 facilities RN’s are told they CANNOT use furlough days. So, it is clear that the facilities are working the RN’s without pay!

Please make sure that RN’s are keeping track of both the furlough time (days) they are accumulating and of the number of furlough days they use. 

For those of you who are being refused furlough days off or that are being given specific dates by your supervisors for furlough time off, please send the information in writing to the Local 1000 office.
