The question we are asked most often is "This is so important, 
how do we keep getting the word out?" The answer is continuing education.
We are committed to educating nurses on safe staffing ratios for our hospitals along with other workplace conditions that contribute to the crisis.
The SEIU Nurse Alliance of California is committed to providing its members with free opportunities for training, education and professional development.
The Nurse Alliance works with Locals to develop, schedule and conduct continuing education events. In the last few years we have offered courses on documentation, workplace abuse and violence, safe patient handling, the Nursing Practice Act, leadership and green hospitals.
In addition, the Nurse Alliance of California convenes an annual legislative conference during Nurses' Week, providing updates to RNs on practice issues, and advocating for quality patient care with legislators.
