The SEIU California Convention was held October 20th through October 22nd in Oakland California. Several hundred members participated in the election and the endorsement process. One of best parts of the Convention for me (Kathy Hughes R.N.) was not only hearing from Dolores Huerta, and Van Jones, but being a part of the vision process.
Members and staff carved out several important issues for all Californians and we determined that these issues are a top priority for our SEIU California members. I was deeply honored to participate in the Racial Justice break out session. Order of Presentation
